Finding your role model

I believe that showcasing role models is the most effective way to create motivation and inspiration. Role models lead by example, they show that success and passion is tangible.

– an extract from what I wrote a few months ago in a post about leadership. You can find the post here.

Role models are truly a great tool to use in order to move forward. Personally, I find role models in many different places. And they are not always a mentor as well. I can admire and learn from them, from afar. Not everybody appreciates to interact so directly, which tend to be the case in a mentorship. So if you can find a way to pull motivation, inspiration and learnings without a full on mentorship, that is also totally fine.

Today I feel lucky that I’m have many women and men in my network that have become role models for me. They provide me with energy to dig deeper, despite my draining energy levels due to the recent major changes in my life.

I’d like to encourage you to gather as many role models as you can in your life. And if you feel okay with it, it’s a great opportunity to turn the situation into a mentorship. You don’t have to be afraid to ask, because it is an incredible honor to be asked to be someones mentor!

Use your role models or mentors to get practical and tangible advice!
